Zoe’s money transfer experience is a redesigned, end-to-end system that expands beyond basic desktop deposits to support all transfer types: deposits, withdrawals, wires, checks, ACATS, and internal transfers, across both desktop and mobile, while meeting strict U.S. compliance requirements and integrating with key flows like account opening and Bulk Transitions.

Problem

Zoe’s money-transfer interface was outdated and inconsistent, making a critical financial task feel unintuitive and unreliable. Visual patterns varied across screens, information was hard to scan, and users struggled to trust an experience that looked behind the times.

Solution

I redesigned the entire flow with a modern, modular UI that improves clarity, consistency, and trust. The new experience uses clean visual hierarchy, clearer status cues, and simplified interactions—making transfers faster to complete and far more reassuring for users.|

Identifying the Core UX Gaps and Problems

I audited the existing transfer UI to uncover outdated patterns and usability issues before shaping a modern, scalable redesign.

Old UI

No mobile support

Outdated UI patterns

Scattered transfer types

Weak error handling

Not scalable for new flows

Poor compliance coverage

Supporting Every Way Money Moves

This project brought all money movement into a single, cohesive system. Deposits, withdrawals, wires, checks, ACATS, internal transfers, and bulk transitions were designed to share consistent patterns while still meeting their unique compliance and operational requirements.

One System, Many Transfer Flows

All transfer flows were built on a shared system, letting deposits, withdrawals, ACATS, internal transfers, and bulk transitions use the same core components. While ACATS required a different layout due to complexity, the underlying structure stayed consistent.

Built for Mobile First

Earlier flows were limited to desktop. The redesign treated mobile as the primary platform, shaping the structure, hierarchy, and interactions before extending them to larger screens.

Project Outcomes

How Atlas strengthened workflows, alignment, and product quality across the organization.

Unified Transfer Experience

All money movement now follows consistent patterns across products and platforms.

Expanded Coverage

Transfers support desktop and mobile while integrating into key flows like account opening and bulk transitions.

Scalable System

Reusable components and layouts support complex regulations without sacrificing clarity or flexibility.

Built to Handle Real Money Movement

This redesign brought clarity and structure to one of the platform’s most critical workflows. By unifying transfer types under a single system, supporting mobile from the start, and accounting for complex compliance requirements, the new experience helps users move money with confidence while giving teams a scalable foundation to build on.
