Problem
In today's market, it's essential to continuously evolve and refine the UI to meet client expectations. When I joined Zoe, the team had a design system that met the product's needs but had room for improvement. Leveraging my prior experience in building components and design systems from scratch, I was able to enhance its functionality and efficiency.
Solution
My initial approach to updating and refining the design system was to build upon what Zoe already had, enhancing the way components were structured in Figma. I also focused on making the components responsive, ensuring they could be effectively used in designs across all devices.

Reflection
I believe that, every now and then, designers deserve the opportunity to create a project from scratch purely for fun. This project was an eye-opening experience, helping me identify the flaws I had as a product designer at the time and highlighting areas for improvement in my practice. It served as a valuable exercise to revisit various research methods and techniques that are integral to my day-to-day product design tasks. I realized that my focus shouldn't solely rely on UI design but must also emphasize the UX and the research that drives it.
